Instagram Ad Targeting: 8 Valuable Audiences

When looking for high-quality leads and conversions via Instagram ads, it's essential for brands to target the right audiences.

According to this blog from the Social Media Examiner, which discusses 8 types of high valued Instagram ad audiences, the first thing that should be considered before targeting an audience is how well you know and understand them. It's also important to consider the audience's awareness level of your brand: how much do they know about you? Are they already your loyal customers?

The article also mentions that when focusing specifically on growing brand awareness, it's important to expand your audience set. On the other hand, when you want to remarket, narrowing your audience can enhance your return on investment.

Facebook Adds New Alerts and Individual User Penalties to Help Stop the Spread of Misinformation

The spread of misinformation has become a serious issue across all social media platforms. In response, Facebook has planned to add pop-up alerts and penalize individual users who are shown to be spreading fake news.

The social media behemoth has appointed a dedicated fact-checking team that will rate content to determine if it is spreading misinformation. They will also penalize individual users who share false information in groups and will take action to lower the reach of their content.

Hopefully, this update will help combat the spread of false information and save users from misinformation. Click above to learn more.

Facebook & Instagram Users Can Hide Their Like Counts

Facebook and Instagram will now be giving users the option of hiding their post likes and likes on other users' posts. This update will help new pages sharing good quality content grow because their audiences will not judge them based on the number of likes they receive.

This new feature has already been tested multiple times by Facebook and Instagram, but users were previously unable to choose whether their likes were displayed or not. It'll be interesting to see if the latest incarnation of this update is more attractive to users because of the factor of choice now involved.

Instagram Adds New 'Drops' Product Showcase to Help Boost eCommerce Activity

Instagram has been gradually improving its features to facilitate more e-commerce shopping activities.

The products reminder option, where users get notifications of new product launches from the brands they've shopped from, was first launched in 2019. Now Instagram is adding the Drops feature, which will live at the top of the Shop tab in the app, and will showcase the latest product launches from brands users have already interacted with, as well as new products that may be of interest.

The new update will help boost brand awareness and maximize the reach of new product launches. Why not check out the new Drops feature, which is available via Commerce Manager!
