Instagram’s Testing a New Option Which Would Enable Users to Re-Arrange the Post Display on their Profile
This week, Instagram announced that they will be testing out an option that would allow users to re-order their profile grid, regardless of when a post was made. They may also introduce the ability to ‘pin’ a post to the top - much like on TikTok.
Mosseri (Head of Instagram) also said that the platform will be placing a much larger focus on video. Many see this as a shift away from the traditional feed we all know, to make way for the app’s video content formats instead (Stories/Reels).
This news also coincides with the announcement that Instagram is considering an option for users to re-arrange their feed viewing options to Home, Favourites, and Following.
