Adobe users on Google Gemini and Anthropic's Claude can now access a broader range of professional creative and document tools without leaving either chat platform. Adobe confirmed in its September 24, 2026 blog post that it launched a new integration inside Google Gemini and substantially expanded its existing Claude plugin to include Acrobat capabilities for the first time.
Adobe Brings Creative Suite to Google Gemini
Adobe on September 24, 2026, began a global rollout of tools from Photoshop, Lightroom, Adobe Express, and Firefly inside Google's Gemini assistant. Adobe in Gemini is rolling out worldwide and is available across all Gemini plans.
Adobe has brought professional-grade tools from Photoshop, Lightroom, Express, and Firefly to Google Gemini, reaching the chatbot's more than one billion monthly users. Gemini users describe what they want to create in plain language, and Adobe handles the work, picking the right tools and applying the edits without anyone opening a Creative Cloud app.
In Gemini, users can access capabilities from Photoshop, Lightroom, Adobe Express, and Firefly. Supported tasks include enhancing product photos, generating marketing assets, and adapting designs for different channels. Adobe's software selects the relevant tools and workflow steps in the background based on the request.
Adobe called the Gemini release "the first step" in its work with Google and said more tools will follow. Users can add Adobe as a connected app under Personal Intelligence and sign in with their Adobe ID to get started.
Acrobat Added to Claude Plugin for the First Time
Alongside the Gemini launch, Adobe broadened its existing Claude integration. The plugin now includes Acrobat tools for the first time, adding document work to the creative applications already available in the chatbot.
The updated Claude integration now offers 80 tools across applications including Acrobat, Photoshop, Premiere, Express, and Lightroom, up from the initial 50 when it launched earlier in 2026. Adobe has included Acrobat in its existing Claude connector, which has been rebranded from Adobe for Creativity to simply Adobe.
PDFs can be reorganized by deleting, combining, or splitting pages, while users can also redact sensitive information and convert documents into other formats. For more hands-on control, a new interactive editor lets users reorder pages, edit text, and mark up documents with comments and highlights.
Interactive Editors Added for PDFs and Express Designs
The September 24 announcement also introduced two new in-context editing tools for Claude users. Two new interactive editors let Claude users edit PDFs by hand and change single elements inside Express designs.
Users can ask Claude to analyze a document, and Claude then drops recommendations and notations straight into the editor. The new layer-based editor for Express designs provides more direct control over individual components. Users can select and modify images, copy, colours, and fonts independently instead of regenerating an entire design when only one element needs to change.
The plugin does not include every feature from each Adobe app. Many tools are available without signing in, while additional capabilities require an Adobe account. Some tools require an eligible paid Adobe plan.
Rollout Details and Platform Availability
Adobe for Claude is rolling out globally starting today across Claude and Claude Code on desktop, mobile, and web. Users can get started as a guest or sign in with their Adobe account to unlock the full plugin experience. If users already have the previous Adobe connector installed, it will automatically update to the new Adobe plugin.
For marketers and content teams, the practical implication of combining Acrobat and Creative Cloud tools inside a single Claude plugin is a reduction in context-switching; tasks that previously required moving between a chat interface and separate PDF or design applications can now be initiated and refined within the same conversation. The Gemini integration similarly positions Adobe's image and design tools as accessible entry points for users who already begin their workflows inside Google's assistant.
Adobe's September 24 announcement confirmed that Adobe brings pro-grade creative tools to Google Gemini with Adobe in Gemini and expands its Adobe for Claude plugin with Acrobat tools and new ways to edit PDFs and Adobe Express designs directly in Claude.
