Last but not least, Facebook finally jumped on the #hashtag bandwagon. Hashtags give user the opportunity to join real-time conversations. This will expand Facebook’s community engagement and increase its marketing capabilities. Twitter may have to compete to keep maintain ad revenue.
Google realizes that everyone isn’t connect to the Internet. Project Loon is balloon-powered Internet access for areas of the world that don’t have access to traditional web options. The overall goal of this project is provide new resources and technologies to areas of the world that it’s currently unaffordable.
Twitter is finally offering analytics to its advertisers. No ad spend is required; however, advertising must be offered within your country to access the new feature. None ad related tweet stats include the number of retweets, favourites and extended reach from follower shares.
Bing isn’t only reminding marketers but also the publics that its still a relevant search platform. With Bing’s market shares increasing, it’s important for marketers and business owners to rule in the search engine into their online marketing strategy. Try out the Bing It On challenge, it might be worth reallocating some paid search budgets.
