Klaviyo and Canva Expand Integration to Let E-Commerce Marketers Push Full Email Designs Directly Into Campaign Workflows

E-commerce and retail marketers using both Canva and Klaviyo can now move complete email designs from one platform to the other without manually exporting files or rebuilding templates. Klaviyo (NYSE: KVYO) and Canva jointly announced a deepened commitment to their partnership through an expanded integration that enables marketers to design and streamline full campaigns in Canva and reach consumers wherever they are, according to a Business Wire press release published April 16, 2026.

What the Expanded Integration Changes

The previous Klaviyo-Canva integration, while widely adopted, was limited to moving individual image assets between platforms. That integration handled the importing and exporting of images between Klaviyo and Canva; it did not handle importing or exporting HTML email templates. Retail brands that built complete email layouts in Canva were required to manually export HTML, re-upload it, and, in many cases, rework the code to be compatible with Klaviyo's CSS.

The expanded integration now enables marketers to import full design layouts from Canva directly into Klaviyo, where they can personalize and deliver customer communications using segmentation and automation tools, eliminating the need to rebuild designs when moving between platforms.

Klaviyo will also receive additional in-app placements within Canva to allow users to discover the integration and export designs.

Scale of Adoption and Partnership Context

The update reflects the commercial weight already behind the existing integration. The expanded capabilities build on the rapid adoption of the existing Klaviyo-Canva integration, which launched nearly two years ago and quickly became the fastest-growing integration in Klaviyo's ecosystem, with more than 1 in 5 Klaviyo customers now using it, making it one of the most popular integrations in the platform.

High-growth enterprises, including Mattel, TaylorMade, Glossier, Liquid Death, and Daily Harvest, are among the more than 193,000 paying customers leveraging Klaviyo's infrastructure and its more than 350 integrations. For e-commerce brands at scale, the previous friction between design and deployment represented a repeating cost, one that compounded across seasonal campaigns, product launches, and automated lifecycle flows.

What Marketers Can Now Do

The expanded capabilities allow marketers to import full design layouts into Klaviyo directly from Canva, refine and personalize campaigns using segmentation, automation, and customer data, and collaborate more efficiently across teams, enabling designers and marketers to work in their preferred tools while maintaining a seamless workflow.

This connection between design and data enables marketing teams to move faster from concept to execution, turning visually compelling campaigns into highly targeted experiences without rebuilding assets or switching workflows.

Andrew Bialecki, co-founder and co-CEO of Klaviyo, addressed the cross-team workflow problem the update is designed to solve. "Our enhanced integration with Canva makes it even easier for marketers to move from beautiful design to personalized customer engagement in just a few steps," Bialecki said.

Anwar Haneef, GM and Head of Ecosystem at Canva, framed the update in revenue terms. "We handle the last mile of design, and by connecting directly with Klaviyo, marketers can take a polished, on-brand asset and immediately put it to work, reaching the right audience with a personalized message built to drive revenue," Haneef said.

Implications for E-Commerce Marketing Automation

For retail and e-commerce teams managing high-volume campaign calendars, including promotional sends, abandoned cart flows, post-purchase sequences, and seasonal drops, the time previously lost reformatting and re-importing design assets represented a meaningful delay between creative completion and campaign activation. The expanded integration compresses that gap by allowing on-brand HTML templates to land directly in Klaviyo's Template Library, ready to be connected to segmented audiences and automation flows without additional production steps. Teams operating with separate design and marketing functions stand to benefit most, as creative and lifecycle workflows can now proceed in parallel and converge at the point of send.

Klaviyo will be featured in additional in-app placements to make it easier for Canva customers to discover the integration and export designs, and for brands already using both platforms, the integration is intended to streamline collaboration between creative and lifecycle marketing teams.
