Wix Launches Harmony AI Builder With Dual AI and Manual Editing

Wix has introduced a new AI-powered website builder designed to bridge the gap between rapid site generation and production-ready deployment. The product, called Harmony, integrates natural language creation directly into Wix’s core editing environment, allowing users to move seamlessly between AI-assisted and manual workflows.

Announced in New York, Harmony is set to roll out to English-language users in the coming weeks. Wix is positioning the product as a solution for building fully functional websites that can support live traffic and ongoing business operations, rather than limited prototypes or design mockups.

AI embedded into the core editor

At the center of Harmony is an AI agent called Aria, which acts as the primary interface for natural language instructions. Users can ask Aria to make design adjustments, restructure pages, or add functional elements such as ecommerce and scheduling features. These changes are applied directly within the existing Wix editor, rather than through a separate AI-only environment.

Wix says this approach is intended to preserve site stability. Because Harmony operates on the same underlying architecture as standard Wix sites, updates made through AI prompts are designed not to disrupt other sections or introduce unexpected behavior elsewhere on the site.

Switching freely between AI and hands-on design

A key aspect of Harmony is the ability to alternate between AI-generated output and traditional drag-and-drop editing. Users can generate pages or components through prompts, then manually refine layout, spacing, and content without rebuilding elements from scratch.

This flexibility reflects Wix’s broader effort to keep creative and structural control with users, while using AI to reduce setup time and repetitive tasks rather than dictate final design decisions.

Built for live deployment

Unlike many AI site generators that prioritize speed over durability, Harmony sites run on Wix’s standard production infrastructure. According to the company, this allows websites created with Harmony to handle live traffic, ongoing updates, and business transactions from launch.

Sites built with Harmony also include access to Wix’s existing business and operational tools, such as online payments, commerce, scheduling, and transaction management. Wix says additional capabilities—ranging from accessibility monitoring and search optimization to performance management and privacy compliance—are included by default, reducing the need for external services.

Part of a broader AI strategy

Harmony represents Wix’s most direct integration of AI into its primary website-building workflow to date. Rather than positioning AI as an add-on feature, the company is embedding it into the same environment used to design, manage, and scale websites.

As competition among AI-powered site builders intensifies, Wix’s approach emphasizes production readiness and user control as differentiators. With Harmony, the company is signaling that AI-driven creation and long-term site management do not need to be mutually exclusive.
