Search Engine Optimization July 9th, 2021
Are you working hard to appear on the first page of search engine results and still not seeing the results you crave?
The reason for your problems could be very simple: you forgot to do proper keyword research!
If you intend to rank your website on the first page of Google or any other search engine, you need to find the right set of keywords that will help you with your SEO. With proper and well-planned keyword research, you can get a reasonable amount of website traffic, target the right sets of audiences, and make a good return on investment.
Let’s take a look at what this means in more detail.
Keywords are the words or phrases people type into search engines’ search bars. They are also called search queries or SEO keywords. Keyword research is when you analyze the words or phrases a person types in the search engine while looking for a particular product, service, or piece of content. For the unique content according to the keywords you can ask an experienced writer or order essay paper.
For example, suppose someone is searching online for a digital marketing school in Canada. They might use keywords like “best digital marketing school,” “top digital marketing college,” or even “digital marketing course“. A digital marketing school would find it useful to know what keywords are being used so that they can make sure they show up for them in search results.
Keyword research allows you to understand the following:
Understanding what your audience is searching for will help you plan out which keywords you should be using in your website content to target your audience and improve your lead generation (when will then, in turn, improve your return on investment).
It is essential to have in-depth knowledge of the products and services that you offer. Next, you need to think like your customer: suppose you are looking for a particular product – what would you type in the search engine? Make a list of all the keywords you brainstormed, and make sure that these keywords are relevant and related to the product and service you offer on your website.
Analyzing your competitors’ websites is essential, especially since they will provide examples of relevant keywords. In particular, look at their content and their meta descriptions to get more ideas on the specific keyword(s) they are focusing on.
You can also search the prominent keywords that you have already shortlisted on a search engine and determine which websites/competitors rank when you search that keyword.
Long- tail keywords are more elaborate than average keywords, and it is easier for a new brand to rank using them. An example of a longtail keyword is “the best salon for women in Ontario.”
The benefit of considering long-tail keywords is that they have low competition and are therefore much easier to rank. If you try to rank with long-tail keywords, you are more likely to appear in search results, and you will attract customers who are more interested in the service or product you offer. Short tail keywords should be your last priority while planning your SEO.
A lot of tools are available that will help you analyze the keyword you want to focus on. For example, Google Keyword Planner, Semrush, and Moz Keyword Explorer can help you understand keywords’ search volume, ranking difficulty, cost per click details, keyword trends, and similar keywords. Keyword research tools will also help you narrow down the list you created in the first two steps.
Once you have a good idea of the list of keywords you want to generate your content around you can use them in your blogs and on your website. Using research tools will show you a clear picture of how you are ranking and performing. You will need to keep reviewing the performance of your keywords, and you might even need to add more keywords and remove others. This is a continuous process and regular evaluation is needed for keyword effectiveness.
Hurray! If you followed the steps above, you should have a perfect list of the keywords that your customers are searching for online. Content is significant for your SEO, and including these well-researched keywords while creating your content will ensure that you are able to rank on the first page of Google’s results.
