I was recently going through some Google information and found some very good copy and content on their site. (from the Google Blog nonetheless!) Since I enjoyed this writing so much I thought I would share it!
10 Myths about Google – though a little bit amusing, I especially liked their explanation regarding the popularity of wikipedia and technorati.

A great article comparing Google Docs & Spreadsheets with Microsoft Office. My personal opinion? Anything local is going to be better in terms of speed, but what Google has done is allow us to put important articles online and allow us to access them and share them with anyone online today. In short – amazing.

Google Desktop – I like this feature. Some people seem to think it can slow down your computer somewhat, but I haven’t had any problems. The big bonus of this feature is that you can literally search for ANYTHING on your computer. Think you can’t find anything – Google desktop will find it for you.

What to expect from Google in 2007 – it will be difficult to be even more innovative then in previous years but as you can see here Google is planning on pushing forward with many things we thought were many years away! Call people more easily from the internet? Hmmmm… I’d like to add one – how about a Google browser? Why not?

Anyway, since I was doing some light reading on Google, (as I find myself doing quite a bit!) I thought I would share some of the things going on in G-World. Enjoy!

@tikoun – It’s a known fact that Google does gather a LOT of data about its users. They say they only use it to better serve their clients but who knows? And what if someone sells this data or a hacker breaks into Google’s servers and takes it?
Google has a lot of good things on it’s side and it is clear that our life has become more interesting since its inception. Only the future will tell us if Google is a good guy or an evil one.

One of my issue with Google is the fact that by using them a person may be giving away a lot of information about his/her current activities for example. I have used Google docs. However, Google can be present on so many aspects of someone’s life that I find it to be something notable.
With that being said, I like the ease with which forms can be created with Google docs.

Good findings DJ 🙂
I can also share some good experiences with Google desktop. Though Google is the king of the hill, they’re ready to accept other kings like Wikipedia, Technorati or other popular online wizards.
