Online Innovation October 25th, 2007
In the past whenever I have had to find a domain, I would close my eyes, and have to consider when I would have some time to visit GoDaddy and go through all the hassle of seeing if it was available, and then going through the verification to see who owned it.
You don’t have to do that anymore! I think this is one of the coolest tools I have ever seen when looking for domains. Set for official launch on the TechWyse site in November 2007, I couldn’t help but share it all with you now. So check it out…
Simply start typing the name of the domain you are interested in and it tells you right away whether it’s available on .com, .net and .org. It also allows you to click on WHOIS information on one click or purchase the domain if it is available.
People often wince when new technologies are introduced. The truth is that AJAX has been around for a while, but now it has caught on and people are finding more practical uses for it online. AJAX helps us meet a demand found online today of quick, easy access. We don’t have to wait for long load times, or screen refresh.
I’m sure someone in our programming department will write more about AJAX in the coming months, but for those that really do wonder, this tool is a result of this type of technology.
Thanks to Beau for this one!
