Internet Marketing October 9th, 2012
Welcome back to yet again another interesting week in the world of Internet marketing. Just in case you missed out, here are some IM hot topics to keep you in the loop: Mobile Landing Pages: Step-by-Step; Make Better Decisions in AdWords with Google Analytics Data; Google Warns of Upcoming Exact Match Domain Algorithm Change; and the Top Ten Ways To Get More Customer Feedback – Whiteboard Friday.
Mobile landing page optimization is new concept and all rules associated with standard landing pages differ. Mobile landing page should only include a headline, a few sentences of text and a simple contact form for a phone number and/or email address. Keep the content short and the call to action clear.
Google Analytics visitor insight can be used to strengthen your AdWords campaign: attract more engaged users; discover opportunities to convert more engaged visitors; and identify ads with badly matched landing pages. Learn how to combine both and see the benefits for yourself.
Google’s webspam master, Matt Cutts, announced a major algorithm change planned to reduce low quality exact match domains (EMD). EMD contain keywords that exactly match the search query. This update will prevent companies from trying to trick search engines into ranking their website higher.
Using multiple channels to receive customer feedback is a great way to expand products and services. Surveys, reviews, blog posts, social media and customer boards can provide insight of your business’s strengths and weakness, giving you the chance to improve and satisfy your customers.
