Why You Should be Bidding on Your Own  Branded Keywords in PPC

It’s a question we get asked a lot from our PPC clients: “why should i bid on my own branded keyword?” It’s a valid question, since if a person types your company’s name into a search engine it’s likely that you’ll see your company in the top couple of organic results, e.g. your website and hopefully your Google Places listing. This article provides eight reasons why you should bid on your branded keywords and there’s definitely some good logic as to why!

Facebook Makes Another Privacy Blunder

Yet another example of Facebook’s inability or unwillingness to turn new features off by default came to light this week. Facebook’s new facial recognition photo tagging was recently rolled out worldwide. The new feature scans images of you and your friends’ faces and suggests people tag them. In a statement Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said they “should have been more clear with people during the roll-out process when this became available to them.” Word of advice, go check your privacy settings.

Google Panda 2.2 Algorithm Update to Rollout Soon

Google has confirmed that version 2.2 of it’s impactful Panda Update which saw article directories and “how to” sites take a big hit in search engine rankings. Panda 2.2. promises to address problems where by programs were copying content from other pages, in turn out ranking the original page. The updates will tackle so called “black hat” tactics in an effort to provide users with higher quality search engine results.

Trade Stocks With Some Advice From Twitter
