Internet Marketing November 8th, 2012

Google Is the Only Top Search Engine to Drop Shares

Over the past two month Google has dropped a mere 1 per cent in shares, leaving a small margin for Yahoo! to expand on its search engine dominance. Bing remains consistently bouncing around in the 4 per cent range, while Baidu fights to hold on. Statistics provided by Net Market Share.

Google Takes a Hit

It’s not a big hit; nonetheless, Google was the only search engine to drop shares this month. Maybe their recent EMD update has something to do with this?

Yahoo Looking Up

Since new CEO, Marissa Mayer took the reins back in July, Yahoo’s shares have been looking up. The Yahoo and Bing alliance is reporting pulling in more advertisers investments. Watch out Google!

Bing Bouncing Around

Not much new with Bing in terms of market share; however, according to recent reports Bing’s network traffic growth surpassed Google during the third quarter.

Baidu, where are you?

Even though the Chinese search engine, Baidu, has hit the slumps in shares, critics predict that they should be back on track in no time.
