Last month’s blip on the radar that saw Baidu jump significantly seems to have levelled off with the Chinese search engine claiming 5.73% of overall search engine market share. Google regained its above 80% position, while Yahoo! and Bing held steady at approximately 6% and 4% respectively. Stats were provided by Net Market Share.
Last month we saw Google bounce back to typical levels in and around the low 80% range. Overall the search giant dropped just over 2% vs. one year ago.
Yahoo! held its position as the number 2 search engine in the world despite a steady four month decline. Yahoo! beat out Baidu by less than 0.1%
Microsoft’s Bing search engine made a modest gain of 0.12% since last year. That’s still down from its October high of 4.26% high seen in October 2011.
Since last month’s statistical blip Baidu fell to 5.73% total search engine market share. That’s up 2.73% since January 2011.
