About Wynsum Homes

Wynsum Homes is a residential development company located east of Toronto in Pickering, Ontario. Building classy, innovative homes all over the GTA, Wynsum Homes stressed an importance of creating a simple tool that allows his clients to search his inventory (new homes under development, developed homes on the market and finished homes with residents).

Requirements

The client owns multiple development companies and understands the value of advertising dollars spent towards building a company. Their awareness of the large population of home buyers using the internet to start their search for their dream home led them to TechWyse. Their request was a user friendly website for not only the website visitor, but the back end administrative area that controlled the website.

Wynsum Homes had many great ideas for the functions they wanted to see on their website development project however, needed guidance applying logic to the functions along with a catchy design.

After completing our website planning review with the client the following requirements were drawn up as part of Wynsum Homes' website development project:

• The client needed a website design with search engine friendly features. 
• The client wanted a website that had a login and would allow the admin to update property listings to the user site.
• A simple section to update articles, videos, documents and industry news.
• A feature that would allow multiple users to sign into the admin with different user features assigned to each user level.

Results

The Wynsum Homes website design and development took approximately 12 weeks to complete from documentation (wireframe), concept designs and website build.

The finished product has turned out remarkable. An easy to use and easy to manage website with the following features:

• A home finder on the user website that allows users to search for properties through a filter that matches their needs (since the client does not have properties listed this feature is currently inactive on the website).
• A dedicated listing page to display homes that are under development and finished homes with residents.
• An easy to manage admin that allows the client to upload all of the property listings and associate them with one of three categories (new homes, upcoming homes and past projects).
• A News & Events section that is managed through the admin and allows the user to upload articles with images, PDFs, videos and description using a wysiwyg.
• Search engine friendly build that allows the client to optimize their website for organic rankings.

The new website has received nothing but positive feedback from the client and his colleagues. So well received that we have been engaged by the client to redesign and develop two other company websites.
