About Westland Giftware

Westland is a top manufacturer in the gift and collectible industry. Providing products to over 30,000 stores across North America, they understood the importance of a user friendly website to display their product lines to their consumers.

Website Requirements

Based in Union City, California, Westland Giftware came to TechWyse after browsing the internet and discovering a website similar to the functions they needed and in the same industry that TechWyse had developed.  The site’s purpose was to provide website users an easy to use image gallery that would display product lines along with accommodating orders from users.

After reviewing the necessary functions of the website with the client, TechWyse proposed the following:

• Homepage flash design to display products
• An admin that allows the client to upload imagery and assign to categories
• A login for members to place orders
• A feature to locate dealers that carry their products all across the United States
• News and events section

Website Requirements

After a detailed documentation phase gathering the website requirements, we successfully launched a user friendly website that allowed the client to administer to adding products, product categories and sub categories, an ordering system and more. Here are some of the website features:

• Custom website design.
• Website user registration (an admin that is able to reject or approve the user).
• When logged in as a user it permits you to view product prices and place orders.
• Orders are all managed through the admin and filed as new, in process or complete.
• Easy to manage admin that allows the user to upload:
  • Multiple categories
  • Multiple sub categories and sub-sub categories
  • Upload and assign products and the following information:
    • Image 
    • Title
    • Product Number
    • Cost
• Easy to manage news and events section in the admin that allows user to post articles and attachments.
• Easy to manage featured artists section that allows the admin to upload an image and bio of the artist along with their product line.
• Dealer Locator that allows the admin to upload locations that carry their product and on the user side a search feature that permits the user to search for the closest location using zip code or city/state.

The website launch was a success. Westland Giftware and TechWyse continue to work together on improving the website usability for clients along with their easy to manage admin.
