About Ve'ahavta

Ve'ahavta is a Toronto based humanitarian and relief organization, motivated by the Jewish value of Tzedakah (Justice). Working with local and international volunteers, they are working towards building a better world for people in desperate need.

Their International Projects include the following countries:

• Argentina
• Guyana
• Israel
• Tanzania
• Zimbabwe

Ve'ahavta also works on local Toronto based initiatives, and prides itself on helping local homeless.

Requirements

When Ve'ahavta came to TechWyse to have their website redesigned, they had a unique request; make our site look great and don’t worry about organic optimization. They wanted the images used on the site to speak to the visitor.

The reason that this was a unique request is that TechWyse is known in the industry as a leading Internet Marketing company that develops beautiful sites while keeping organic optimization at the forefron. This was discussed with the client, and although a couple organic optimization rules were broken, the site was still developed so it would perform well in search engines.

Another requirement was Ve'ahavta needed to be able to update the site quickly and without much training. Since the client had previous experience using WordPress software, it was decided that building the website using the WordPress blog software to actually manage the entire website would be the best solution.

Results

The new Ve'ahavta website took almost 3 months to complete from requirements gathering, initial documentation to site launch.

The overall project was a great success and the new site has been very well received by Ve'ahavta. Although the company did not list organic optimization as a primary goal, the new web site does have many of the basic search engine rules kept in tact. 

The client was so happy with the final web development project, that they went ahead with the TechWyse email marketing product - WHICHABAM!
