Cool and real-time stuff! Thanks for this helpful article. Now I know what will work and what won't work in lead generation, the area I often stumbles. What you pointed here will work for a decent sized internet marketing company engaged in full service search marketing activities.
My site is job service site and you know I am getting tons of useless leads. Is there any way to filter this without consuming much time?

A brief write up which gives you an overview of the qualifying points generating quality leads. Keeping these points in mind will truly help any business to filter the relevant leads. The captcha code on the forms will help from getting automated inquires so that we are left with the good leads which can be further filtered based on the points you mentioned here.

These are great tips and very timely. There actually is a good deal of truth in this. Mall shopper and online shopper doesn't have the same mindset, in the former case decision of buying is faster than the latter case. The above points is always valuable to every website opting SEM strategies.

DJ, the comparison between mall and internet marketing leads was great. It helped me to understand things better. But i feel there are chances of more fake inquiry in internet leads than manually going to the mall and inquire because we can inquire much faster through internet. Those who planned to buy a costly product will defenitely go through minimum of 10 sites and post their inquiry but they won't be ready to visit 10 shops.

Captcha is a good idea to block automated form submissions but it is also necessary to filter the form contents and strip all tags otherwise the site will get broken because of sql injection.

Online businesses fail quite often due to negligence on the part of web masters to identify problem areas and to act upon matters that have a direct bearing on the success of a website. A “call to action”, “sales funnel”, “and quick contact forms” etc are all major ingredients that go a long way in assuring the success of a website.

This is an excellent post explaining ways to bring in targeted leads and also identifying the reasons for bounce rates. Web masters and the online business community in general would do well to read and act upon it.

Nice write up! You've given a good overview. Lead generation and its tracking ways are one of the most confusing as well as the most important areas concerned. I think website owners are often confused with the types of leads generated but often they don't notice the fact that it is their website which determines the quality of leads.
