		<description>I agree with everything here except that branding should not be a goal unto itself.  A commercial website is a mechanism to make money. So if the website does not make money then it turns into a liability not making any money but costing you money in the long run.   Branding can be accomplished but should always be accompanied with a call to action. So don&#039;t brand for the sake of branding but brand in conjunction with either 1)lead generation  2) direct sales(E-Commerce) or 3) Advertising.

I think one more point is to be added, business web sites need to concentrate on their market, size of the market- local, regional or worldwide. Also find the niche market the site does fit into. Once the market has been determined the website can be targeted to appropriate customer segment.
