3 Reasons We Like GAIQ Minimum Grade Being Moved To 80%

3 Reasons We Like GAIQ Minimum Grade Being Moved To 80%If you are a Google Analytics enthusiast you may already know about the Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIQ) course that you can take to hone your skills at Google Analytics.  Pass the test and earn a small badge in honour of passing the online course.

Google announced on Tuesday that they are raising the minimum grade from 75% to 80% in order to receive a passing score.

We thought it would be prudent to list our top 3 reasons we like this recent announcement from the Google Analytics team.

3 Reasons We Like Raising The Minimum Grade Being Raised For GAIQ

1. Raising the minimum grade to 80% means that those with the GAIQ accreditation will now be even more advanced in terms of knowledge level.

2. A higher passing grade is evidence that there is enough interest in the product to validate making the restrictions tougher.  This means that the industry is getting more educated Google Analytics members.

3. An increased passing grade minimum will also ensure that any members renewing their test results after 18 months will need to prove that they have retained their knowledge and (in many cases) improve their knowledge level in order to receive a passing grade.

Google Analytics Continuing To Grow

There is no doubt that this industry is still in its infancy.  We think many of the things that Google have been pushing regarding Analytics have been in the right direction.  Conversion University and the GAIQ program are good examples of this.

Good move ! I feel Google should conduct a test in authorized centers whether it be online or offline. Now as per my understanding those who are writing the test can access internet or even login to an analytics account and look for help. The test can even be paused and needs to be completed within 5 days.

You're right, by increasing the percentage level Google made it clear that GAIQ is going to be a strong tool for testing and assessing one's analytical intelligence. Good move Google.
