PPC is like other advertising mediums. 95% does not pay for itself. So anyone who blindly jumps in will probably get burnt. Like any advertising, you must get feedback to make sure your not throwing your money away. The advertisers are going to get paid whether you do or not, so it is up to you to protect yourself because the last 5% does pay.

All of Google's tools so far have only brought in increased benefits to the end user; the PPC tool is no different. In the hands of an experienced internet marketing company that knows how to make use of its several features, PPC is worth it and a real sales driven proposition.

It is said that a bad worker blames his tools. Google's PPC tool is not to be used by amateurs trying their hand at SEO but by professionals who know how to diligently make use of the several options offered by this technologically advanced tool. It's a blessing in the hands of those who know how to make use of its many features

I don't think there needs to be a second thought on PPC ads, it is an excellent advertising opportunity for business of all sizes and is so quick to setup and change.

PPC campaigns are so faster to get going than others; we can get started with Google adwords in 10 minutes (Overture it takes 2 to 3 days) . All the more PPC ads are highly measurable, helps the advertiser to quantify whether this is a good advertising route his/her website. Google AdWords in particular, is easy to get started within 10 minutes. PPC Campaigns are faster to set up than others.
Why such cynicism further!!!

Although PPC campaigns contribute a lot to promote websites over the internet, one should be cautious about spending too much on them. Pay per click advertising can quickly become very expensive and if the visitors don't become customers it means wasted money for the advertiser. The advertiser should take care about not paying too much per click, else he wouldn't enjoy a positive return on investment.

Issac, guess I am not being too cynical here! Anyways a very relevant read.
