OS from Google! a very big news indeed. It seems that Google started venturing outside their core realm-search. Its open source nature is appreciated but I have a strong opinion that they should not spend time and resource for these sort of things instead they should concentrate on their core competencies. Because there is a chance that if their focus get shifted the search experience will suffer.

The Chrome Operating System is still a long way of and as per Google's own very words, slated only for the second half of 2010. No one needs to entertain any doubts on its superior features considering Google's technical competence. But then other players in field, but more especially Microsoft, are no minnows either. In any case, we're soon going to witness a keen and absorbing tussle.
